…….and now we are Ten! |

| Welcome to Papanack Park Zoo
and our tenth year of being officially open to the public. We would like
take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support – we could
not have done it without you! If it were not for our faithful ‘regular
visitors’, our school groups and day camps, our Junior Zoo Keepers,
our Scout and Guide Groups, the passing tourists who only visit once and
local visitors who visit several times a year, and Volunteers, we would
not be celebrating our tenth anniversary. So, again a big thank you from
all the staff and animals that have spent time at Papanack over the
years.
Over the years there have been many
changes that have taken place over the years. If you take a look at the
Map on the center pages you will see an outline of the original area of
the zoo. Most of this area is no longer open to the public, but is used
as a special zoo for our Junior Zoo Keeper Camp, storage and temporary
housing for animals.
We have had breeding success with the following animals:
Some of which are on the Appendix I for
endangered species. |
